Happy New Year from All Over

Happy New Year, everyone! I am finally finishing up the trip from hell, and a flight attendant deplaned from the gate I'm sitting near just now...she looks like maybe she had a worse one. I have one more flight home, and my family is on their way to Grand Junction too!

This year my New Year's resolutions consist of:

-Decluttering

-Meditating twice a day

-Blogging at least twice every week

-Continue working on my Spanish

-Work on writing my book

-Write an hour/day

-Keep working out 2-3 times/week and eating well

I am so tired right now. All I can think about is catching up on sleep. Day 1 of my trip we had a plane maintenance delay that put us on minimum rest and delayed Day 2, so we could get our crew rest. Day 2 was the same story!

Two minimum rest nights would be bad enough, but I got on a "Good Girls" kick since season 2 just came out. I was watching the show all afternoon and into the night. When I finally fell asleep, I had the worst dreams! I kept dreaming of a girl haunting the house my family was staying in. I kept waking up from the dream feeling as if she was in the room with me. The weird part is, I would fall into another equally terrifying dream. I woke up again and again and somehow knew that someone died in the hotel room I was sleeping in. I was so convinced that I asked the front desk clerk in the morning if anyone had died there.

Of course, she had no idea, which didn't surprise me because I could find no trace online of anyone dying in a hotel in Hobbs, NM. I think I thoroughly freaked her out though because she told me she just started working there a month ago and often hears unexplainable noises in the night. I wish I wouldn't have asked. I definitely didn't want to freak her out.

I didn't work my last flight, thank goodness. I have been tired since I showed up for this trip. My energy is drained, and my chiropractor's been out of town, so my whole body is still out of wack. I really need a vacation from the "holiday" season, since all my hours have been insane! I have ten days off coming up mid-January and I'm hoping David and I can take a long vacay!

Falling in Love with the Process

We are often so focused on the goals we have in life, we put off our happiness until we reach the goal, and I'm guilty of this right now!...
